Flowers are used as a gift article as they symbolise freshness and they make the environment pleasant.
A Few Tips
Growing flowers requires a lot of dedication, time, energy and most important love for flowers. For this you need to follow some guidelines. Following are some tips and advices on growing some of the best flowers.
Alyssum:
These are the flowers that can grow in full to partial sunlight.
Alyssum grow well in average soils and you have to water them once or twice per week, the only condition is that the soil should drain well. Also add a general purpose fertilizer once a month.
Iris:
Irises like full sun, but are tolerable to partial shade. Their only demand is well draining soil to avoid root rot. The soil does not need to be the richest in your yard. Nor, does it demand heavy fertilizer feeding. Once established, you will need to water them only in the driest part of the year. Fertilize occasionally. Do not apply heavy doses of Nitrogen.
Chrysanthemums:
Chrysanthemums have shallow roots. So, keep them well watered near the surface. Apply a balanced fertilizer on a regular basis. Switch to a fertilizer higher in Phosphorous to promote blooming and you will be rewarded with big and colourful blooms that will shine in your garden long after your other plants have succumbed to frost and age.
Daisies:
Daisies like rich, well drained soil and full sunshine. But they are a hardy and forgiving plant. They will readily tolerate poorer soils and partial shade. They need little attention during the year. A little general purpose fertilizer in the early growth stage will help the plants to develop big and strong stalks and leaves.
Tulips:
Everyone knows that tulips bloom in abundance in the spring. Every gardener, except perhaps the novice gardener, knows that spring blooming tulips must be planted in the Fall. After blooming, let the plant continue to grow until it dies off. During the post bloom period, the plant is sending energy to the bulb to store for use next spring.
Roses:
Growing rose bushes is easy and rewarding. A mostly sunny location and a little gardening basic is all you need to get started. With a little learning you can turn your rose bushes into a perfect bush providing a profusion of roses.
